Duties of the Training Coordinator

• Ensure troop leaders and committee members have opportunities for training (refer to the council’s calendar)
• Maintain an inventory of up-to-date training materials, videos, and other training resources (my.scouting.org)
• Make sure all new leaders take Fast Start training as soon as possible
• Be responsible for BSA Youth Protection training within the troop
• Encourage periodic youth leader training within the troop and at the council and national levels (Woodbadge, NYLT, USA)
• Make sure all leaders who are not position trained, attend SW FL Council’s USA “Position Trained” camp-out in April
• Report to the troop committee at each meeting
• Be watchful that the troop is taking all steps to ensure the safety of the youth
